The reason for this has to do with the idea that this can cause an uncomfortable sleeping arrangement. Drafts are not good when you are trying to sleep. If you do have two windows though, it would be a good place to put the bed, so that it is in between both of the windows. If you do not use a window though, it would not matter if you put the bed in front of it.
One of the things to keep in mind is that you want to make the room look as big as possible. Where you position the bed can make a huge difference. Make sure that wherever you place the bed that it is not in a position where it will block a walkway or a door.
Additionally, you could put things like you’re bureau inside the closet if it fits, in order to free up more space in the room. When you are arranging furniture inside of a master bedroom, then make sure that you do not have a lot of clutter in the room and only use the furniture that you need in order to make the bedroom look larger. When you don’t use things such as a footboard on the bed then that can make a big difference as well.
